Scam Report: Why Should You Avoid SeniorPeopleMeet.com? (REVIEW)

Senior People Meet

SeniorPeopleMeet.com is an online dating service for the senior and mature population, which claims to help bring older singles together for friendship and dating. But, with one look at the site we spotted that it’s affiliated with Match.com, Chemisty.com, BlackPeopleMeet.com, LoveAndSeek.com, BabyBoomerPeopleMeet.com, and is also part of the People Media 50+ Network that also includes OurTime.com and SeniorsMeet.com. Some of these sites are next on our list to investigate, while some we have already done a review on and they turned out to be scamming and fraudulent websites.

Will SeniorPeopleMeet.com be proven as a legitimate dating service or join its affiliated dating websites as another online dating scam? We reveal in the following text and invite you to continue reading.

Facts about SeniorPeopleMeet.com you should know

Just like the websites it’s affiliated with, SeniorPeopleMeet.com uses the same conning tricks to get to your money and rip you off for as long as possible. We already suspected that some of the following scams were taking place on SeniorPeopleMeet.com, but in the terms of use document we found proof written in black and white.

1) Anything You Post Is No Longer Yours

This part of the terms and conditions of use is scary and is a real example of how naive people get conned on online dating sites. Since SeniorPeopleMeet.com can gain all rights over any information you post on the site, they can freely translate, change and reuse them, and also post them on other dating networks. The moment you post information about yourself – they are no longer yours. This is not a new type of scam, and we know for a fact that the process to take down your photographs from all sites they have been distributed to is difficult.

We know of a case where a lady that posted photographs on her online dating profile on another site which also had all rights over her data, and had a very humiliating experience trying to take them down. She even had to send more nude photographs of herself to the owner company, so that a process of verification can be done. We do not wish this to happen to anyone else, so we kindly advise you to be extremely careful what you post and where you upload your personal information.

FROM THE TERMS OF USE:By posting Content on the Website or as part of the Service, you automatically grant, and you represent and warrant that you have the right to grant, to the Company, its affiliates, licensees and successors, an irrevocable, perpetual, non-exclusive, fully paid-up, worldwide right and license to (i) use, copy, store, perform, display, reproduce, record, play, adapt, modify and distribute such Content, (ii) prepare derivative works of, or incorporate into other works, such Content, and (iii) grant and authorize sublicenses of the foregoing in any media now known or hereafter created.”

2) Test Profiles And Electronic Communications

As you will read in the excerpt from the terms and conditions on SeniorPeopleMeet.com below, the site informs you that they will contact you through email messages once you become a member of the site, and add that these communications will be related to relationships on the site. Moreover, they go on to admit they are creating dating profiles, but we doubt they use them only for the purposes that are numbered.

It is possible that SeniorPeopleMeet.com takes your profile information (including photographs, communications, personal information about yourself and your interests), reworks them and distributes them throughout other dating sites. So, who guarantees that the profiles you see on SeniorPeopleMeet.com are not fabricated using other people’s personal profile data? After all, you are not notified and don’t stand behind your replicated profiles on other sites.

FROM THE TERMS OF USE: “When you become a Member, you agree and consent to receive email messages from us. These emails may be transactional or relationship communications relating to the Service. From time to time, employees of the Company (or its parent or affiliated companies) may create test dating profiles for the purpose of testing the functionality of our Service and website processes to improve service quality for our Members.”

3) Full Membership Is Costly

It is clear that this site is rather a scamming service than a dating service. Not only does SeniorPeopleMeet.com claim property over your personal profile information, but they use them to create other profiles on different sites and use those to send computer-automated communications, which are used to scam even more people. If you have been deceived and have given SeniorPeopleMeet.com your credit card information, act fast before it’s too late. You are paying for a bunch of lies that are a waste of your time and money.

But, how much will your paid memberships cost you? Well, you can choose from several different subscription periods, which are automatically renewed after the initial package expires. Here are the details:

  • $23.99 to purchase a monthly subscription
  • $53.97 to purchase 3 months of subscription
  • $77.94 to purchase 6 months of subscription

FROM THE TERMS OF USE:Your subscription will continue indefinitely until cancelled by you. After your initial subscription commitment period, and again after any subsequent subscription period, your subscription will automatically continue for an additional equivalent period, at the price you agreed to when subscribing. You agree that your account will be subject to this automatic renewal feature.”

The verdict on SeniorPeopleMeet.com

This is one scamming and cheating site. Please be careful and remember to always read the terms and conditions of use before you give your money to a website. We take this matter seriously and so should you. SeniorPeopleMeet.com is a scam aimed at the elderly and works by ruthlessly charging people a lot of money. Dating in this period of your life should not be stressful, but rather relaxed and fun, but getting ripped off is not entertaining.

  1. senior people meet is a junk site, a cheater and layer and also a website without principle. Our website is hacked to redirect to the senior people meet website. What a son of bitch company!

  2. Unfortunately, I didn’t check the site out before subscribing. I did only subscribe to one month to check it out but was charged almost $90. Upon calling Customer Service I was told that “You must have made a mistake and hit the wrong button when subscribing”. No, I’m 100% positive I did not and double checked my form before submitting. They refunded part of my money but still overcharged me by about $9 for one month which I will file a complaint for. I also question the legitimacy of their site because some things that took place just did not jive or make sense and left me wondering how the heck does that happen. What a shame that they take advantage of seniors trying to find companions. My next contact will be Better Business Bureau for a complaint.

  3. This site is not safe. I’ve been hacked into 3 times and scammers have gotten my personal email and I keep getting emails from them. Avoid this site.

  4. I recently signed up for SeniorPeopleMeet and almost immediately began receiving emails from porn and escort type sites. I finally had to delete my email account because I was getting so many.

  5. Avoid this site. I’m locked out of my profile, unless I reset my passwords. In order to do so, they want me to put my password in there.

  6. Avoid this site. I’m locked out of my profile, unless I reset my password. In order to do so, they want me to give them my credit card information.

  7. I met a man on Senior People Meet who said he was using a friend’s log in which would expire that evening. He said his friend told him that I lived near him so he contacted me. He asked if we could talk by email since the friend’s page would expire that particular day. Long story short, I could not locate by any search this man’s name, although he provided photos and a copy of “his” passport. The local address he gave where he and his deceased wife had lived is nonexistent, he asked for substantial amounts of money twice, he provided his birthdate which was a different year from the passport. I did a parcel search and did not find anything with this man’s supposed last name in the location where he said he owned a home. He professed love and was hopeful for a long term relationship. He asked me to pick him up at an airport 3 hours away rather than an airport which is only 1.5 hours away. Then asked for money again or there would be a delay.

  8. Fake profiles and rude pop-ups. I am sick of these type of sites that offer nothing more than lies and nothing of value.

  9. I have been catfished 10 times on ourtime and senior meets with three people asking me for money. I do not believe anyone on the sites are actually real people.

  10. Avoid this website!!! As stated above, they obviously sell your email address and I get DOZENS of spam, they have even hi-jacked MY email address to indicate as sent by. REMOVE ALL INFO AND BLOCK ALL EMAILS

  11. They are using fake pictures of women here. Even celebrities are showing up in here. I saw Britney Spears in one email.

  12. THIS IS the worse of the scam dating sites. I ONLY got a month membership to do a test. Sent out over 150 “messages”, only had 3 women, “READ” my messages. # out of 150 “READ”, but no responses. ALSO, my profile info was “deleted ” 4 times in a matter of 5 hours, between midnite and 5 a.m. “SUPPOSEDLY” there is NO Customer service, during this time frame. Another thing, I reside in a small town. Ran into a woman who’s profile, I checked out. I told her” WOW, I see you are on SPM” Her response,” I dumped that scam site 2 years ago” Well, so much for “up to date” profiles !!! There should be a class action law suit started against these RIP OFF sites !!!!!!

    • They renewed my membership even though I had not even been on the sight for 2 months. I tried to contact them and the number was no good. I tried to dispute with my credit card and they came back to the credit card saying this is a “Valid charge”. I closed my card….and I am going to report them to the BBB and the Attorney General’s office. .

  13. i try blackpeoplemeet long time ago pay my money i meet some one on they we meet up in person for a good time i want to know i being scams by blackpeoplemeet some of them don’t let you know them there hove a boyfriend can you tall me about blackpeoplemeet stop paid for money

  14. I tried a one month paid membership that included message and chat. The result was utter frustration. They intercept your msg or chat and then send the person you are trying to reach a
modified request to view your profile and decide if they’re interested. flirt-view-flirt-view-repeat for
ad nausea. They send lots of messages indicated to be from you to members you never chose to have any contact with. Their support is script read were sorry we’ll check it out don’t reply.
Give it time to lapse your membership so you can re-up, LOL. They cant explain anything and
don’t really care. Just renew and surely someone will eventually like you, never mind that its not
someone you want to msg or chat with, Just someone. Enough! Just look elsewhere and not a People Media site.

  15. Seniorpeoplemeet is a scam on its own… They charge my account after my 3 month try out /which was horrible, had ended. I tried to contact them and the number on file is no good. I had to take the loss and closed my credit card. I am concerned with any other info these people have about me…BEWARE>>>>>>>>

  16. I WAS READY TO SUBSCRIBE TO ”SENIOR PEOPLE MEET’, HOW EVER, READ SEVERAL ”SCAM ‘ NOTICES
AND FEEL VERY UN-EASY, RE; DID NOT RECEIVE RESPONSE ON E-MAILS SENT TO ONES OF INTEREST, PROFILE VIOLATED, NO CREDIT ON FEE, AUTOMATIC RENEWAL AFTER CANCELLATION. THESE DO NOT SOUND GOOD, YOUR RESPONSE

  17. Have the “free version” of SPM I wonder if they take the pre paid credit cards like on the gift card racks… They would only be able to take so much and not renew if it really is a scam. Curiosity is kiling me with 15 messages I can’t read and 5 flirts…

  18. A total ripoff,, they advertise as a dating sight for people OVER 50 (or I’ve also seen 55),,, yet it was FULL of women in their 40’s!!! I contacted the dating sight and asked WHY they allowed younger people to join if it’s supposed to be for SENIORS,, and they h=gave me a total BS answer, they said “we don’t discriminate due to age”,,, what a bunch of BS!!!
