I try new dating sites all of the time, and some of the sites out there are wonderful. Fling.com, for instance, is one of my favorites. But I am a guy who likes to give everyone a chance, so I totally look at other sites, too. One of the websites I recently tried is Extremechat.
I had heard about Extremechat and I had seen buzz about it, so I wanted to check it out myself. It’s a fetish site for sex, and from what I saw on the home page, it’s for people who like extreme chat, BDSM, dominant/submissive relationships, leather, piercings, tattoos…you get the picture.
Of course, I wanted to see if I was going to have the same experience as I had seen on reviews, on YouTube, and as I browsed the internet.

The Extreme Chat Signup Experience
I checked out the home page first, like I always do, and it seemed trustworthy enough, at first glance. It has a registration form, it has a hot woman front and center, and you can sign in to an existing account or register by using your Google account or simply filling in form fields. So far, it looked like a way of communicating with ladies who had the same fetish interests as me. Other reviewers, however, had put my BS meter on, and I was going to start looking at things more closely.
Once I did the registration, which took seconds, I had to verify my account, and then I was in. Within moments, I started getting messages. This is a sign to me that there are fake profiles or fraud on the site. No one wants to talk to a guy who has no profile photo or profile at all, and no real person is going to do it within a matter of seconds. So, I started snooping around…
Members and Chat
I didn’t really fill out my own profile. Instead, I wanted to start checking out the women here. I started talking to the people who had already sent me messages. I could see their profiles and contact them through there. I could also respond to their messages. Every couple of minutes I got a pop-up asking me to buy more coins.
You can only send a few messages until it tells you that you need to pay more to continue your chat. So, I started looking at other profiles. Most of them looked like stock images, and I just didn’t think most, if any, were legit. There were also images that were blurry or just weird, which surprised me, because on a real dating site, people usually put real photos of themselves, even if parts are blurred….but the whole photo isn’t blurred.
Why I Knew They Were Fake Profiles
Starting the convos were easy, but they really were a complete waste of time. I tried to hook them with small talk, but all I managed to do was get into a conversation with a computer, it seems, because I soon noticed something…
Right on the front page…which is black, there is some red colored font at the bottom. Honestly, it’s hard to read, so I highlighted it. It says this:
“All *Chat partners are virtual profiles moderated by exciting real people. Real meetings with them are not possible.”
The other customers were right. The profiles here are mostly fake and feature hijacked photos and videos. It seemed to me that the bots that message you talk about relevant topics that you choose in your profile. For instance, I said I liked tattoos…and sure enough, I had three profiles message me asking if I liked their tattoos, their inked bodies, or wanted to…do something…on those tattoos.
When you visit a profile, within minutes, you get a message from that woman saying they saw you visit. Since I was out of coins, I couldn’t reply, and I didn’t want to pay because this is obviously a scam. Speaking of paying, let’s talk about pricing.
Do Other Customers Pay for This? Here’s What It Costs
I’ve already mentioned the pop-ups, and they literally pop up on every page. You can create a profile for free, and you can start to chat completely free, but if you want to continue, you need to spend monty.
You can get the smallest package of 200 coins with a 200 coin bonus for $7.49. It goes up to $139/99 for a total of 8000 coins. I suppose consumers do this, but I didn’t really want to pay for access to bots. I wanted real women, and I just don’t think there are any on this site…and if they are, I wasn’t able to find any. If you are into chatting with bots, you might like this, though. Some people do get off on chat, but it will cost you because every message you send costs coins.
What I Liked About Extremechat
Even though this site was the worst, I will mention a couple of positives. Again, I realize that some people may be into this type of thing. So, I’ll say this…the site is quick to load and navigate.
You can’t get hookups and you can’t meet with anyone, but if you just want to use the site, you can do that easily. There is also a game that you can play. You win coins, but the most I won was 5 coins, and it costs 50 coins to send a message.
What I Didn’t Like About Extremechat
There’s a much longer list of drawbacks:
- Fake-looking profiles: Most members didn’t seem authentic.
- Location mismatches: Despite setting my preferences, I was paired with people nowhere near me.
- Aggressive upselling: Paywalls are everywhere, and you never feel like you’ve unlocked the “full” experience.
- Robotic interactions: Conversations lacked depth and often felt automated.
- No real sense of community: Unlike other dating platforms, there’s no vibe that this is a place where people genuinely connect.
Oh and I recommend reading what Trustpilot says about Extreme Chat as well. Don’t forget to take their opinion into consideration.
My Final Thought – A Complete Waste of Time
Extremechat markets itself as a place to connect with singles, but in reality, it felt more like a trap for my time and money. With a flood of questionable profiles, poor interaction quality, and endless upsells, it never delivered on its promise of creating genuine connections.
If you’re serious about online dating, there are far better options out there that actually prioritize real members, meaningful interactions, and transparent pricing. My advice? Skip Extremechat and invest your energy in a platform that doesn’t feel like it’s working against you at every step. Again, I recommend Fling.com if you are looking for an actual site where men can hookup with all kinds of women.
