Cuffing Season: What Is It And Everything You Need To Know

My guess is that most of the people reading this have no idea what cuffing season is and what I’m writing about. If you don’t know what I’m talking about when I use the term “cuffing” then you’re not alone.

I’ll just cut to the chase and share what this is…

Cuffing Season definition

Cuffing season is a real thing. It’s pretty much the entire fall and winter season. Ironically, it’s a period in time when most people want to be with someone. By that, I mean that they choose to not be single, but in a relationship or “cuffed” up with someone.

The first question I get is why does this season exist and why are people wanting to stay in relationships?

Pretty simple if you think about it. People typically try and stay in relationships because it’s cold outside and they don’t want to be alone. Having a significant other or a local babe or bae (whatever you want to call this person) can help make the winter months less miserable.

Now, if you’re totally against being cuffed and you prefer to simply pay for the company, then by all means, do so but I don’t suggest it.

You’re better off using an adult dating platform before paying escorts to spend time with you. TRUST ME.

To each their own though. Hopefully, this article will shift your thinking and you’ll either settle down with some hottie or you’ll remain active on the swipe scene.

Whatever you do, just avoid the escort sites, for the love of God.

Tips For Surviving Cuffing Season

Here are some tips for those looking to get cuffed up and make it through the winter without dealing with hiring girls for their time.

Drop your summer booty call; find someone more compatible.

I know this seems counterproductive but I’m telling you that you need not attempt to make your summer fling your cuffing season fling as well. It’s a bad idea because summers are fun, typically wild and brighter. You want to keep that rolling next summer and your summer fling should come to a halt at the end of the summer. Adios, see you next Memorial Day!

Do not get attached but be there when they need you.

If you’re into cuddling, then be into it. Just don’t get too attached because you’re bound to feel sad given that cuffing season eventually ends. Cuddling, kissing and hugging all help boost your happy hormones and that’s a good thing. However, getting to attach is bad, very, very bad.

Instead, simply be there for them when they need you, but always keep in the back of your mind the thought that this is simply temporary and nothing more. Hang out with your wang out with your cuff buddy or buddies but don’t get attached.

Never assume anything; be open and honest.

Don’t assume that you and your cuffing season friend are on the same page all the time. In any relationship, things can get dicey. Yes – especially one that’s a short term relationship. If this is something that you want to keep short term, nothing more, then you need to be open about it.

Don’t go social media; go out socially instead.

Refrain from posting pictures together as if you’re a hardcore couple. Social media has a way of sucking you in and solidifying things. If you want to keep this only during the season, then I strongly suggest not posting on Instagram or Facebook.

The alternative is to just enjoy the moment and spend time with this person. Go out, have fun, dine together, drink together. Just don’t snap and post together.

Don’t spend too much time outdoors; do spend time using Netflix.

The whole “Netflix and chill” thing is super simple when you’re cuffed up with someone. Take full advantage of the situation to Netflix and chill all day every day. Your wallet, health, and “Jimmy” will be very happy if you do.

Never keep it going; always end it on a good note.

Cuffing season is just that, it’s a season and once that season is over, so should be the relationship. If you’re in the process of getting caught up in things and you don’t think you’re going to be able to end it, then do it now.

Truth be told, you’re better off getting out of something that you’ll never be able to call off. It only gets harder as time progresses and the fact of the matter is that there are millions of Americans who are single during this season looking for something more. They may want a one night stand, a season-long fling, a simple bathroom hookup. Who knows really, it’s tough to say!

Conclusion

Well, that’s all I’ve got for you with regards to this strange period. Not much much more to say other than be careful and keep your head in the game or you just might find that you’ve been benched.

  1. You speak so strongly against using/buying escorts during lonely hours and make it seem so easy that any guy can find a lady of his desire on a dating app . Well i’ve got a newsflash for you . Some men just don’t have the level of physical attraction needed to score a snuggle partner or future wife off of a dating site . So to keep from being lonely we choose to pay for a partner instead because it’s better than having nobody at all

    • I know plenty of unattractive men that hookup without paying escorts for nookie. Sounds like you’re just too lazy or lacking the confidence necessary to be successful.
