For this interview, we set out to investigate the legitimacy of AdultFriendFinder.com and will serve the results of our findings, here. We invite you to continue reading to learn whether you can trust this online dating site.

Why we bring the legitimacy of AdultFriendFinder.com into question?

1) The site asks you to upgrade to a paid subscription

Before you can even check out the site it automatically takes you to a page where you are asked to pay for a membership upgrade. Here are the given options you can choose from:

  • $29.95 for 1 month subscription on the site
  • $59.80 for 3 months subscription on the site
  • $179.10 for a yearly subscription on the site

We skipped this step and proceeded to investigate the site, but couldn’t do anything without paying first. When we got a message from another site member – we had to pay the monthly membership fee to be able to open the message and read its content. When we tried to start a conversation with women on the site – we were taken to the page where you give your credit card info and choose a payment plan.

2) Messages start flooding after you sign up

We are aware that AdultFriendFinder.com is an old dating site, but thought that getting so many contacts seems a little too pushy. Are we that lucky that we got so many women to write to us when our profile was intentionally left without a photograph? We were able to find this short section in the site’s Terms of Use page that read:

FROM THE TERMS OF USE: “By using the Services, you consent to receiving electronic communications, e.g., email, from us or our subsidiaries and affiliated entities. These communications are part of your relationship with us and you receive them as part of your membership.”

3) Are there really that many women in your area?

Did you ever question the same? It was simply too weird that there were that many gorgeous women close to us, which were ready to date. Plus, the physical appearance of these women brought another question in mind and that was why such beautiful ladies would be seeking dates online when they can simply go to a bar tonight and meet a lot of potential partners. We believe the term “affiliated entities” from the Terms of Use refers to these women on the site. They may be fake profiles or may be the site’s employees hired to act as real site members and communicate with you. The end goal, of course, is you to pay for a monthly subscription with your hard earned money.

The verdict on AdultFriendFinder.com

This site has been around long enough to know how to hide the obvious proofs for condoning any illegitimate or scamming actions. But, if you think clearly, there are several points where AdultFriendFinder.com seems that it’s not 100% trustworthy.

This site MAY have a large nimber of users, but as of December 2016 I would guess at least three quaters no longer even use the site. Unless you live in a capital city ANYWHERE you have next to no hope of finding someone anywhere near you, let alone anyone you would WANT to meet.

There are a very large number of female members who have multiple profiles, and even then they are outnumbered by males at least 50 to 1….do the mental math there.

Many of the ‘female’ member are men and there are as many fake money grabbers as on craigslist or any other well known scam sites around.

There is a large amount of ‘only here to cause trouble and harass ‘ users and as many are female as male. The female ones are worse in chatrooms as the site has a ‘Delete mens accounts ad hock but let the women do as they please’ method as they want as many females as possible to get more men to pay.

On the note of paying, they advertise ‘Pay for 3 months get 1 free’! but if you do the math, they still charge you for 4 months, same with ‘Pay for 12 months get 3 free….you pay for 15 months. If you do not turn off automatic renewal, your CC will be charged without your permission even if you were going to let it go and good luck and many years trying to have that undone.

The sites management system is lame at best and all banned users can make a new profile the same day, and many do!
1 particular woman from Australia has been banned over 350 times in a 12 month period and she is still active there using over 100 currently active profiles today!

Standard members can do nothing but use chatrooms and are constantly being led to ‘Upgrade now’ pages trying to do anything else.

There ARE some good people on the site, and real and genuine people you might want to meet, but if you have no plans to travel halfway around the world to take a chance on them being the sex they claim, and to find out if their photo’s ARE them and are RECENT not 20-30 years old, then forget it!

You have much more chance finding who and what you are looking for at your local park, bar, nightclub or even church than you do on any of the Adult Friend Finder sites and you are a complete loser if you would consider ever paying for the experience, If you have money to throw away….go and pay a hooker! At least you’ll get something remotely pleasant for your money!
