Scamming actions on LoveAndSeek.com
LoveAndSeek.com is owned and run by a company called People Media, Inc., which also owns and runs BlackPeopleMeet.com, OurTime.com, SingleParentMeet.com, SeniorPeopleMeet.com and there are other dating sites that we have not reviewed yet. In the site’s terms and conditions of use we found the needed evidence to prove that LoveAndSeek.com works to con and rip-off naive members.
1) LoveAndSeek.com Reuses Your Profile Data
By singing in and creating a profile on LoveAndSeek.com, you are automatically agreeing to the Terms of Use. But, if you haven’t read this document, then you haven’t been informed about your rights and duties. Within the terms of use document, there is a paragraph that explains how by merely posting a photographs or writing something about you – LoveAndSeek.com gains exclusive right to take, reuse, modify and distribute the info posted by you. After they gather all these data they can re-post them across all their websites, but they can also share your personal info on other networks they have a contract with (companies which have bought the info). Basically, the minute you post anything on LoveAndSeek.com it is no longer yours.
PROOF OF SCAM: “By posting Content on the Website or as part of the Service, you automatically grant, and you represent and warrant that you have the right to grant, to the Company, its affiliates, licensees and successors, an irrevocable, perpetual, non-exclusive, fully paid-up, worldwide right and license to (i) use, copy, store, perform, display, reproduce, record, play, adapt, modify and distribute such Content, (ii) prepare derivative works of, or incorporate into other works, such Content, and (iii) grant and authorize sublicenses of the foregoing in any media now known or hereafter created.”
2) Electronic Communications
LoveAndSeek.com uses computer-automated messages, sent to you by computer software. This means that no one is actually sending you emails and no one is interacting with you, but these messages are only a marketing tool used by the site to get you engaged in their services. The computer-automated messages will be sent to you at different periods of the day, and they will be coming from fabricated profiles (not real site members).
PROOF OF SCAM: “When you become a Member, you agree and consent to receive email messages from us. These emails may be transactional or relationship communications relating to the Service, such as administrative notices and service announcements or changes, or emails containing commercial offers, promotions or special offers from us.”
3) Fabricated Test Profiles
LoveAndSeek.com dating profiles which are used to send you email and chat messages are fabricated and created by the owner company. Those profiles are created using the profile information the Company has acquired from other users who once posted on the site – just like you post yours when creating your account. These profiles contain images, data, names, etc. which originally belong to other people and are taken from other dating sites and networks.
PROOF OF SCAM: “From time to time, employees of the Company (or its parent or affiliated companies) may create test dating profiles for the purpose of testing the functionality of our Service and website processes to improve service quality for our Members.”
4) LoveAndSeek.com Recurring Membership Fees
LoveAndSeek.com services are not free and you will be charged big time to be able to use the site. Actually, whenever you try to interact in any way with other site members you are extorted to upgrade to a paid membership. Moreover, if you subscribe for a one-time membership for the duration of, for example, one month – your subscription will be automatically renewed for months and months until you realize what is happening and cancel your paid membership. Of course, you are not notified for any of these monthly charges and renewals. Here is how much you will be charged based on the subscription period you choose:
- $14.99 to purchase 1 month of membership (automatically recurring)
- $35.97 to purchase 3 months of membership (automatically recurring)
- $62.94 to purchase 6 months of membership (automatically recurring)
PROOF OF SCAM: “Your subscription will continue indefinitely until cancelled by you. After your initial subscription commitment period, and again after any subsequent subscription period, your subscription will automatically continue for an additional equivalent period, at the price you agreed to when subscribing. You agree that your account will be subject to this automatic renewal feature.”
The verdict on LoveAndSeek.com
LoveAndSeek.com is hiding under the mask of a Christian and honest online dating site, when in fact, it is associated with other scamming dating sites run by the same company. The same scamming techniques are used on LoveAndSeek.com too in order to double-cross and rip off naive people. We advise you to always pay close attention and never give your credit card information to a dating site without reading the terms and conditions of use first.

I recently signed up for Love and Seek and just wanted you to be aware that I was approached by
activetom2 and we emailed back and forth several times but I became suspicious when the lovely things he was saying were so similar to another sham I received on another site. What cinched it was when he asked me the same questions as I had asked by the first shammer! I emailed him my thoughts and, of course, have not heard from him but thought you should be aware.

This is my personal experience. Every time I logged out of Loveandseek, I was instantly inundated with flirts and messages. I noticed it immediately and found it interesting. The second time, I questioned whether or not it was coincidental. Every time after that, I was simply confirming my suspicions. I logged in and out 3-4 times a day and it happened every time. Many of my “notifications” said “now,” as if it just happened, but the information was identical to messages already sent to me. Typically, I received 3-5 messages every time I logged out.
Even the numbers provide a clue. I never joined, so I could not read or respond to flirts, favorites, or messages. I continually received flirts and messages. My pictures and profile were chosen repeatedly as favorites. As a non-member, I couldn’t confirm the quality of these choices. I could, however, view profiles. I did a fair amount of this. The one thing I never received was a profile view. This morning I was notified of 26 new messages, 12 new flirts, and 0 profile views. All these people were interested enough to send me a message, yet not even one looked at my profile. That says it all. Don’t give them any money. I’m sure some people get lucky and find someone. But this whole thing is created to generate enticing, fake user activity.
